Why Frozen
Chilled ready meals have become the "sexy" sector of the food market, but in order to maximise shelf-life, preservative methods like gas flushing have to be used. The technology now exists to allow "fresh" ready meals to stay on supermarket shelves for three weeks! And most chilled ready meals go into the freezer anyway.
Freezing is nature’s own preservative. We don’t have to add any nasties to bring you food in top condition.
It also means that we can make our recipes when produce is at its best. For example, autumn lamb has a far better flavour than over-priced spring lamb, because the animal has the chance to spend a few months grazing.
All our meals can be microwaved in around 8 minutes, or you can pop them in the oven while you go for a snifter!
